Macy’s wanted to enforce its position as the curator of the season’s best trends and an important source of inspiration for everyday and influential women who see fashion as a form of self-expression. To translate this message to the consumer, BDG Studios and Instagram gathered proprietary insights to create a program that best reflected the under-40 consumer’s social & shopping habits. “Besties” straddled the line between aspirational and inspirational, leveraging influential talent to show off the season’s best trends — with their BFFs serving as a sounding board and aesthetic counterpoint.

Instant Experience
Instant Experience (IX), is an immersive fullscreen format for mobile devices. You can use IX to create dynamic and unique ads served on Instagram and Facebook. For Macy’s, BDG created IX ads focused on audience engagement, allowing users to choose their own journey. Once clicking which path to follow, users were led to a lookbook page with deeper storytelling and options to shop out directly.
